Numerious different materials are used in the process of language teaching. One of those materials, and may- be the most common used is language coursbook. As there are more than one courbooks in the bazaar, their evaluation and selection has become a phenomenon and a huge literature has emerged. Among others Je- remy Harmer, Alan Cunningsworth, Alan Tucker are the representatives and pioneers of this field. In this study we have made an external and an internal evaluation of a set of Kurmancî Kurdish coursbooks named Hînker based on criteria by Cunningsworth. As results, we found that as a set of langu- age teaching coursebooks, Hînker has deficiencies in terms of language content, language skills and teachers’ role, however it is sufficient in terms of non-lingustic content such as social values and also in terms of methodology.
