Heyranok According to Language, Style and Context: Example of Van District

ABSTRACT:

“Heyranok” is a type of Kurdish Folk Literature. In Kur- dish Folk Literature, Heyranok worths to be studyed and analyzed with its language, form and context. Our work focuses on the heyranoks collected from Van District and tries to analyze these heyranoks according to some aspects. We first introduced heyranoks and then deter- mined various names used for heyranoks in different re- gions. Then heyranoks were analyzed in a scientific frame according to methods of cultural studies, folklore and literature and in accordance with language, style and context. As a result we found out that heyranoks are short lyric poems and are said for admiring. Heyranok is an anonymous type. The topic of heyranoks is love. Heyranoks are built with a simple language.
